Another week DONE!

We started the respiratory system this week.  Through our study of the human body, we are developing quite an impressive vocabulary.  Some of our favorites are epiglottis and alveoli!  We are still in Australia.  Here is a picture of Megan and Justin working on history.
We do school where ever it is comfortable.  No desks around here!  We are still listening to Island of the Blue Dolphins.   There is an old VHS movie of the book that I reserved at the library.  We are anxiously waiting it's arrival!  Grammar is still all about prepositions and math is all about division.  Today we tried 3 digits divided by 1 digit.

We ended our week with Aboriginal Art, Bach, a trip to the library and Swan Lake.

  1. Hahaha, My favorite anatomical terms are Isle of Langerhans and radial groove (which I always thought would be a cool name for a band). Plus Metacarpals and metatarsals just seem more in tune with the Universe than regular carpals and tarsals.
Those kids are going to be so stuffed with knowledge you will have to keep them away from sharp objects. And who doesn't like a field trip!
Love the updates and pics, so keep 'em coming. I realize you have enough to do actually teaching them, but still love it.
When they are ready for European History-- French Revolution through World War II, I am about as good as it gets.
