State Museum

On Wednesday, we visited the SC State Museum in Columbia.  It is one of Justin's favorite places.     Here are a few pictures of our trip.
Looking at the trains.

This huge tire is always a big hit!
Replica of a Civil War gun.
One room school house.  One student ready to learn and one not so ready.  (This was their idea.)  LOL

Things are moving along.  We're still in Russia.  This past week Justin and Megan drew pictures of a Russian Cathedral.
We finished reading The Wolves of Willoughby Chase and watched the movie on Friday.   Like most movies, it was very different than the book.  We have about four more chapters left in the Genghis Khan book.  On Friday, we made birthday cards for a little boy in our homeschool group that has cancer and just had a bone marrow transplant.  Please pray for Timothy Moyer and his family.  He will be 6 on January 24.

We are going to the State Museum on Wednesday.  We are looking forward to getting "out and about" for a while.

Happy New Year!

Well, I guess I need to get back in the habit of updating the blog.  Almost forgot about it.  We started back to school on Tuesday.  We are in Mongolia and are reading about Genghis Khan...very interesting person.  We started our new Bible study book and Justin and Megan are getting used to the added work of the journal that goes with it.  Not too sure they like it, but I think it will be good for them, so I have veto power.  :)  I did take a picture of their art project this week, but I haven't uploaded it yet.  Justin and Megan made paper snow globes.  Tuesday will be our 90th day, so we're half way through!
